Kosovo's president, Hashim Thaci, has been commemorating the Sicro-Peja massacre, occurring 19 years ago.
Through a Facebook post, Thaci says that today, 44 innocent civilians slaughtered by Serbian military and police forces are remembered with pain and pride.
“19 years ago, in Sich, Serb military and police forces committed one of the most monstrous massacres, killing 44 innocent civilians. Today, all who lost their lives in this slaughter are remembered with pain and pride. The fallen witnesses and martyrs are the foundation of our freedom and independence. HTH”, Thaci wrote on Facebook.
