A victim of sexual abuse by clergymen has said Pope Francissk told him that God has made him gay and that his sexuality “doesn't matter.”, writes CNN, broadcast Periscope.
Juan Carlos Cruz, a survivor of sexual violence, spent three days with Pope Francesk at the Vatican in April, where he discussed his sexuality and the abuse suffered by a Chilean priest.
Describing his meeting with the Pope, Cruzi said: “E know Juan Carlos, it [sexuality] doesn't matter. God made you such. And God made you such. The Pope loves you like that and you don't have to worry about what people say. ”
These words of the pope constitute a significant deviation from the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church, which views homosexuality as “objectively disorder” and contrary to God's laws.
Vatican spokesman Greg Burke told CNN on Monday that “Normically we don't comment on private talks the Pope makes. ”
