The pipeline makes over 700 cracks

For four months the Regional Water Company” Pristina” s.a. has announced all consumers in the service zone that on January 25th 2018, punitive measures have been initiated for all debtors of water supply and sewer services.

Each consumer with two and more unpaid bills on water supply and sewer services is facing a break.

Within four months, more than 700 cuts have been carried out by the water network system, over 3,000 indebted consumers have been visited, and some 1,200 consumer substances have been sent to the private owner, which are not regular to water services.

Just in April 2018, 170 consumers have been shut down, said the announcement sent by the KRU “Pristina”.

Eight municipalities in which this water supply operates are involved: Pristina, Fushe-Kosovo, Obilici, Podujevo, Shpenja, Drenasi, Lipjani and Gracanica, with surrounding villages. The event will continue until the end of 2018.

This water pipeline company calls on all consumers who have benefited from the Law for Free Public Debts to observe the debt reprogramming contracts, always paying the fixed installments under the contract signed by both sides.

According to the water supply communiqué, starting on February 1, 2018, all consumers who have benefited from the Public Debt Forgiveness Law and have not maintained the contract for reprogrammed debt payment will be returned to an forgiven debt based on the Law on Free Public Debt.
