Commission for European Integration Chairman Blerta Deliu said that a positive recommendation for visa liberalisation is expected to be issued by June.
Commenting on the recent visit of the EU's fact-finding commission to Kosovo, she said this delegation has been informed of the latest data in fighting crime and corruption as one of the last conditions for visa liberalisation.
According to her, Kosovo has scored good results as far as legal package is concerned with strengthening the rule and law.
“I believe this delegation of data it received in Pristina in June will manage to issue a positive recommendation for visa liberalisation for Kosovo”, she said.
PDK MP Deliu-Codra said fighting corruption crime is not only a criterion that Kosovo must meet, but that strengthens Kosovo's path not only to European integrations but also to various regional mechanisms.
She said that if visa liberalisation does not happen this year it would be very discouraging for the country's citizens, until she showed hope that a positive recommendation for visa liberalisation would be issued in June because, as Deliu said, of results that have been marking state institutions in the direction of fighting crime and corruption.
