Very little is known about the personal life of Vladimir Putin, one of the world's most powerful men, who has been running Russia for almost two decades

The few Russian journalists who have dared to investigate and monitor from “the destruction of the key” for the Kremlin leader, as Newsweek reports in 2014, are forwarded with <x2 manners of”, some have even resigned.

Even less is known of Ludmila, Vladimir Putin's former wife, who was married for three decades, until they announced divorce in 2013. Three years later she was reportedly married again, to a man 20 years younger, but no one can confirm her.

Even today, Ludmila and her two daughters with the Russian president are hardly known. So secret is their life that news has spread in Russia that the former president's wife has joined a monastery.

But what is known about Ludmila? Below the list of the few things that circulate about him, according to Newsweek:

1 Before marrying Vladimir Putin in 1983, he worked as a stewardess at the Russian flight company Aerflont. She speaks well of French, German, and Spanish.

2 He reportedly met with Vladimir Putin in Leningrad at that time, now St. Petersburg in the early 1980 ' s, presented by a mutual friend.

3 Ludmila and Vladimir have two daughters, Maria and Catherine, who were born in 1984 and 1985 respectively. Few are known about them after both parents have kept them out of public sight. Even when they continued university, the two girls enrolled and completed their studies under false names in order not to reveal their identity.

4 After the job of a KGB agent, in the years, the couple returned to St. Petersburg, where Putin started working for the government. Reuters has reported that although Ludmila had its own ambitions, Vladimir wanted to keep public and media out of focus.

5 Reuters also reports that Ludmila was not fond of it and did not like being the center of attention or the role of the First Lady of Russia.

6 “He was not ready for the role of First Lady, who found her unprepared!” declared in 2013, Slava Zaitsev, a Russian fashion designer who wore Ludmila.

7 In 2013, during display “La Esmeralda” in the Kremlin, the couple publicly announced the divorce. Our marriage ends with the fact that we barely see each other. Vladimir is fully occupied with his work. Our children have already grown up and I honestly don't like publicity, attention”, declared Ludmila.

8 She kept her word and stayed out of the media and public attention since then, so much so that news of her becoming a nun circulated in the Russian press.

9 ) In 2016 it was reported that Ludmilla was married again, this time to a man almost 20 years younger, Arthur Cheretny. Arthur is the director of the non-profit organisation, the Centre for Communications Development.

10 ) Recently it is said that the couple bought a villa south of France worth $7.46 million. The villa is reportedly under reconstruction, but the figure it was purchased with has raised questions about Vladimir Putin's mysterious wealth, which a former Russian government adviser estimates to 70 billion dollars.
