Mayor: I made my decision on ruining the Culture House not to damage the budget

The chairman of the Vushtrri municipality, Xhafer Tahiri, has said he has made a decision to tear down the House of Culture, even though it has been contrary, so that the municipality is not financially damaged.
“In the midst of keeping a promise and financial risk to the municipality from a announced contract, I have decided not to financially harm the municipality, as it would lose hundreds of thousands of euros in a trial process”, Tahiri said in Klan Kosova.

“If I could cancel the House collapse contract that culture would lose to the economic operator that won the tender. When the winner of the tender is announced, it cannot be canceled”.

“Faces keeping a promise and a financial damage along with the coalition I have chosen not to damage the municipality financially”.

According to Tahiri, the decision on the collapse of the stand-by centre has also given the former mayor of this municipality by PDK, Bajram Mullaku.
