In the study, in which 1,600 people on average aged 71 participated, showed that loneliness affects high mortality rates, despite good health and good socioeconomic status.
Some 23 percent of lonely participants have died during six years of length of study during which their lives have been conveyed compared with 14 percent of the dead who were not lonely
