They have been talking about preparations for the summit of NATO leaders in Brussels, to be held on 11 May and 12 May.
Also, the topic of discussions between them has been an increase in NATO's contribution to the fight against terrorisation and the fair division of responsibility within the Alliance.
A day earlier, Stoltenberg reportedly met US Secretary of State Michael R. Pompeo, Ambassador John Bolton and the Assistant of the President for National Security who has talked about the situation in Syria, Iran and Russia.
