The judge, the mountainous village of Gollak, which lies at the border belt with Serbia, is emptying. One reason is a lack of road, leaving residents isolated. They have to travel five miles [5 km] to buy salt and sugar to Kamenica.
Of the 50 families who lived in this prewar village, only nine are left. The damaged and impermeable road is the main problem of the inhabitants of Jurecius. Insulated families live from agriculture and livestock, reports Rtv21
We have an impassable road, about five miles. The road is a disaster and this is the cause, the road is a reason to escape from here”, says one resident.
Residents say that to buy salt, oil and sugar they travel to Camenica.
This village's school has only three students, and the teacher must travel five kilometers to teach them.
