KED workers today will protest because of the very difficult working conditions and the difficult situation they are in.
So declared Independent Union Federation officials “ELECCOCOSOSOVA” at an extraordinary media conference, where they spoke of the ECDS management's wrong actions.
FSPE Chairman Hysni Gashi said the poor treatment of workers in KEDs that has begun with privatisation has crossed every border.
The quality of services for consumers has not increased at all. In decisions made for privatisation, you see how it says workers will be treated as in KEK and even better. At first it was like that with three-year contracts. But then things changed, and the mistreatment of the workers began. A number went and took some wages and went from work. Then it became the waiting list and a department was established where people were shot without any criteria”, he said.
He made it known that the time of the end of KED is employing people without criteria and on the basis of political interests, with which he cited employment of the daughter of chief Peja prosecutor, and other similar cases.
While the vice president of FSPE, Fehmi Pajaziti, said 2720 workers were in KEDS prior to privatisation, while now there are 2100, until he said new generations have been employed.
“We are not against employment, but working at the minimum wage of 170 euros, that's not right at all. The government should be careful to monitor this company”, he stressed.
FSPE officials also indicated that failure to implement collective contract by KEDs resulted in the dismissal of 74 workers
