Visa liberalisation will occur at the end of this year, as Kosovo has fulfilled all the criteria that have been required to move freely.
So said Parliament Speaker Kadri Wessel during a conversation with UBT College students.
The head of the Assembly that took part in UBT College, where the conference “Free Market Road Show”, which this year has “Vallers, What Waves?”, indicated that what the country needs is for young people to stay in Kosovo.
What Kosovo needs most is for youth like you to stay and live in Kosovo, not to think about finding a lifestyle abroad. This power which is currently of our human resources by getting to protect and preserve here in Kosovo we can develop on the very topic of free market initiative, which has no alternative. This is because Kosovo as a democratic state, as a liberal state, has only private initiative as the greatest impetus of Kosovo's freedom and economic development”, Veselin said.
According to Wessel, Kosovo needs major economic reforms, while at the same time he said they are doing them.
Rector U n BT, Edmond Hayriz, said that for the college he always runs, the value proposal has been clear.
“To UBT has always been clear, the proposal of values when we started, whether it is possible to develop, design an academic system in transition countries based on the best practices in the world and international standards... With 15 thousand students and 600 staffs we create a value and those values are then generated and integrated into our system in Kosovo and internationally, by designing different systems that create stability, economic growth, stability, security, digitisation, innovation, entrepreneurship and many other very important topics”, he said.
On the other hand, from the Austrian Economic Centre Frederico Fernandez said that this year it will be discussed on the issue of values, as according to him many of the crises facing Europe and will face in the near future relate to values.
“Austrian Economic Centre (AEC) is the main organiser of Free Market Road Shoe. This is the second time that we come to Kosovo at this university and we are very happy and grateful to be here and we hope to come here many times in the future. This year, Road Show will be in a total of 40 cities and the idea of this edition is not only to discuss common things related to the economy and free market philosophy, we will also discuss the issue of values because we think that many of the crises Europe faces and will face in the near future relate to the values”, he said.
