A European Commission delegation tomorrow will arrive in Kosovo to assess whether the last visa liberalisation criteria for fighting organised crime and corruption have been met, respectively. After this visit, a (recommand) report on abolishing or not visa with the European Union is expected next month.
The work done by Kosovo institutions in the direction of visa liberalisation is expected to be assessed very quickly by European Union mechanisms.
This is expected since tomorrow (May 3rd) a European Commission technical-level delegation is expected to come to Kosovo, which will be equipped with data on what has been worked in terms of meeting the last criterion, fighting organised crime and corruption.
As a result, during the month, a (recommand) report on abolishing visas for Kosovo is expected to be drafted.
Justice Minister Abelard Tahiri has voiced confidence that Kosovo will get a positive assessment on the issue, as according to him, it has been clearly worked in this direction.
The same has stated former European Integration Minister Mimoza Ahmetaj, who for “Zerin” has estimated that by the end of this year citizens will be able to move freely.
