The Constitutional Court in Pristina has announced the verdict against former head of the Appeals Court, Sali McCaj, who along with others has been acquitted of the indictment.
McCajt's lawyer, Besnik Berisha, made the news known. McKaj was accused of abuse of office.
However, this session is closed to media and opinion, according to the ruling that the Constitutional Court had taken to close the judicial process on behalf of human privacy and rights.
The whole process against McCajt has been kept in media darkness, and as such has been sharply criticised because of the importance of informing public opinion about the abuse he was charged with having done from the position of state official, the head of the almost principal court instead of the Appeals.
Sali McMaj was arrested in his office on July 20, 2015. Mekaj is charged with abuse of office, because from the quality of the president of Appeals, he is said to have favored Vlora Goran, the wife of a prisoner who has been in the process of court at the Appeals, and with whom McAqi has also established extramarital ties.
