About 30 Kosovo companies have been trained and advised on increased competitiveness and export promotion in order to increase Kosovo's economy and employment.
So said today in closing project I CEP (Raising Competition and Export Promotion) carried out by the Agency for Investment and Support of Enterprises in Kosovo (KIESA), along with the EU-funded project.
Luigi Brusa from the EU Office said this highly successful project for entrepreneurship has been a kind of light for leading companies, because in Kosovo there are potential and the future of this country is bright.
This project is financed to help 29 entrepreneurs accept challenges. Practical support made Kosovo stronger, as well. Kosovo's biggest challenge is export. So we helped these companies to build competitiveness. The project has also aimed at boosting the economy and employment in Kosovo”, Brusa said.
He added that the SAA agreement is an approach of Kosovo's businesses in the EU market with consumers of 500 million, but said they must meet standards to be competitive. Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry Faton Thaci confirmed that the Government of Kosovo and MTI have consistently harmonised legislation for the development of small and medium-sized enterprises.
This ministry, according to him, has prepared the strategy for increasing the quality of products, for businesses to be competitive in international markets.
Besian Mustafa from KIESA said the project has been aimed at internationalising Kosovo companies and for their access to the European market.
