While a concept of the book is a certain number of pages inside a cover, the books have taken such different forms that include missing pages, opening or rewrite even interactions through connections. In an era dominated by the internet and digital tools, the book has changed, but the substance remains; a communication and transmission of different gammas of recognition, information and artistic expression and speech. Despite technological shortages, human beings have always found a way to record endless dreams, desires, anxieties, shadows, and questions. He thus wrote on stones, clay tablets, animal skin, or even vegetable materials like Egyptian papyrus. The latter have served for many years as the main basis of writing for some cultures. Tagua and leaves of wood have been used for the same purpose.

Handfully Copying

However, the first books literally appeared in monasteries in the Middle Ages, by the century III, where students were employed and copied important documents. The monastery monks were like professional employees who also devoted time to copying and saving classical books of antiquity in liturgy writings. Because of their long hours of writing, these are known as codices, handwritten books made up of folded and sewn notebooks.

Printed Book

The oldest printed book known is “Sutra of the diamond” that was printed 600 years earlier than Gutenberg's Bible. It is not the first printed book but the oldest one ever found. It turns out that in 868 Chinese Wang Chieh or Wang Jie, according to sources, authorized the printing and distribution of this work collecting and broadcasting the word of Buddha. Found by British-Hungarian archaeologist Aureel Stein in 1907. The printed parchment is 16 feet [5 m] long and has been preserved in very good condition in the absence of moisture in China's secret desert library, near Dunhuang, northeast.

Perfect Technicals

We know that the Romans and the Chinese found forms of printing texts or images without having to copy by hand, with the help of plaques and seals allowing the printing of certain specimens. However, the printing revolution occurred in the XV century with the invention of modern printing. Johann Gutenberg went to work creating wooden models for each of the letters in the alphabet that he later filled with lead. In 1449, the first book “With the printing of the Bible, the Vulgate, the Gutenberg perfected his technique for a work that apparently would have no difference from a manuscript.

Progress.

The development of the book took off with the printing mechanism in the XIX century. This change required satisfying the growing demand for books in industrialized societies. In the 20th century, although in competition with other media, the book maintained an important role in spreading knowledge, saving and storing information. Large lasers, or printers, reduced spaces occupied by printing machines and created a wide variety of printing opportunities in smaller ones. Today, advances have enabled digital versions of books to facilitate content in new forms of reading and access to book reading. / <x0) World.al
