Movement for the Union Chairman Valon Murati has said official Belgrade is interested in dividing Kosovo, whether now or in the future, through creating a reality on the ground that allows it to act in that direction.
He has declared that the final agreement between Kosovo and Serbia, with the current structure, would make the country dysfunctional, while Serbia would pave the way for membership in the European Union.
“Of course, Belgrade has several options on the table, since it has the pressure of the international community to complete the question of dialogue, to create conditions for the European integration process to move more”.
In this direction, I think official Belgrade makes an effort to have some options on the table. I think and believe they are aware that at the moment the international community does not favour any changes of borders. So they try to create scenarios on the ground so that if it reopens as the subject, the limit will be placed on Iber”.
“We have the platform for this issue, which says that at this stage Kosovo and Serbia should solve problems with reciprocity. We also have the Presevo Valley, which can be used in relation to the north. If there are reserved seats for Serbs in the Kosovo Assembly, we ask that they be for Albanians in the Presevo Valley”.
This process is mostly rushing Serbia because it has no time to waste on its journey. I am convinced that if any solution is found with these modalities, Kosovo will continue to have internally functioning problems”.
Even if Serbia recognises us and we remain with this constitutional structure, with Association, the country will be dysfunctional. Even if processes are carried out and we are admitted to the UN we will have continued institutional blockades, the Association of Communities with privileges, which makes Kosovo even more dysfunctional than it is”.
