Bahtiri reacts to those trying to blackmail him

Such actions are manifested by usurpations and misuse of public property, construction without permission and illegal work of factories that are seriously damaging the environment and health of our citizens, which are being accompanied by threats and physical assaults on municipal officials who are taking legal measures not to allow these illegal activities” wrote Bahtiri on the social facebook network.

Bahtiri even mentioned blackmail and attacks by these people, but he and the people working for Mitrovica's benefit will not stop from blackmailing or attacking them broadcast Blic newspaper.

I suggest to all these perpetrators that no threats, attacks or blackmail, will scare us and prevent us from carrying out the law, because only thus can Mitrovica become a dignified and European city, stabilised in political and security and economically developed terms, with which we can be forever proud. ” wrote he.

I take the opportunity to thank you once again for the plebiscious belief in the last election for the Mayor. This has convinced me even more that I am on the right path to fulfilling your expectations, which has forced me even more to stand firm on this path, along with my associates in full implementation of legitimacy and complete prevention of corruption and other negative phenomena.

Unfortunately, in recent days, irresponsible individuals and some irresponsible companies in our municipality have undertaken an offensive, which looks like orchestrated and informed central-level officials to violate the law and regulations and municipal decisions, for their close personal and tribal interests, which would restore to our city the anarchy and chaos that existed years ago.

Such actions are manifested by usurpations and misuse of public property, illegal construction and jobs of factories that are seriously damaging the environment and health of our citizens, which are being accompanied by threats and physical assaults on municipal officials who are taking legal measures to prevent these illegal activities.

I let all these perpetrators know that no threats, attacks or blackmail will scare us and will not deter us from our commitment to implement the law, because only thus Mitrovica can make it a dignified and European city, stabilised politically and economically developed, with which we can be without letup.

The looks of this kind for us mayors are unacceptable, so you respected citizens ask us to support us in this battle against negative phenomena, which is also your eternal struggle, closely co-operating with the municipal organs and the Kosovo police to denounce the perpetrators and thus prevent their actions.

Finally, from the Kosovo police and justice bodies we seek strong support in the full realisation of our goal, making it clear to all that no one is above the law.
