According to a Pentagon statement, Robinson died of a non-war incident.
He was assigned to the 155th Medical Force, to 261st Medical Battalion, the 44th Medical Brigade, in Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
The incident is under investigation, according to the Department of Defence.

Robinson was part of the NATO-led international peacekeeping force responsible for ensuring a safe environment in Kosovo. The mission began in 1999 and continues today, although with a much smaller presence of American forces.
KSF Deputy Minister in Kosovo Burim Ramadani has expressed his condolences to Robinson's family.
