Kreshnik Gashi, has said that due to lack of investments and several other technical issues, implementation of the +383 telephone code has been postponed.
“The completion of the code is being postponed as a result of the lack of investments from Kosovo Telecom, Gashi said, director of the Board of Electronic Communications and Postal Authority (ARKEP).
But Gashi in Info Magazine has given the date when it is expected to start implementing the state code.
This year's “31 October is the deadline that has been requested. On November 1st, only the 383 code is expected to function in Kosovo. If not, there will be penalties against operators”.
Gashi has indicated that postponements have not occurred as a result of the internationalisation of the code.
The entire world is reportedly receiving Kosovo's 383 code. Lack of investments and some technical issues is not a major problem and four-month extension. For Kosovo this code is important because it is the identity for us”.
