VV reiterated that it will not allow the capture of the Public Local Company

The Vetvendosje Movement Group in Pristina has today accused the director of the Property Directorate in the Pristina municipality, Dren Kukaj, that he, along with a group of individuals, is making an attack on the public residential company, with the aim of moving the current leader, Nexhat Kryeziu.

Leonora Bajraktari, VV's Asambliste, has said at a news conference that illegally Dren Kukaj along with the other shareholder, the Sahini stand, has sent to the NPB a decision they have made themselves without calling any meetings.

Under that decision, dated 26.03.2018, two shareholders Dren Kukaj and Qenditi Centre have appointed four temporary members of the NPB Board of Directors in Pristina. In the same decision, they order the same board of four illegal members to compile a summary of the NPB situation, but according to this company's statute, provisions 26.4 each meeting of the board of directors with the company's administrative staff is contrary to corporate governance principles. This decision is illegal and unmet, as with law 03, 087 of the date 13.06.2008 for public enterprises, the municipal commission of shareholders for public enterprises has no right to appoint board members of directors” with a temporary mandate, Bajraktari has said.

She has stressed that the ad-hoc appointment of certain individuals as interim members of the board of directors by not respecting the competition declared by the municipal stock commission itself is unreasonable and illegal.

The “cannot be appointed a new board without the decision to download the preliminary board, so we ask the responsible persons, the mayor of the assembly, and the mayor of the municipality to take appropriate measures regarding these legal violations that have occurred”, she said.

While Egzon Azemi has said that NP residential on March 22nd 2018 has announced fair competitions for the selection of four board members of directors and the deadline for application is open until April 21, 2018, but on March 25th, they have received an email from Property Director Dren Kukaj, where they have been ordered, without the agenda being set to meet in his office on March 26, 2018.

For more than 20 minutes I waited and he didn't show up, then we came out and that meeting really wasn't held, but strangely the next day, despite having not announced at all because of the failure of this meeting due to his absence and without calling at all the other shareholders' meeting, the decision is made public to appoint interim members of the board of directors to the residential public company in Pristina”, he said.

Moreover, Azem has voiced doubts that all these actions are being taken in order to oust Nexhat Kryeziu, the current chief of the residential company in Pristina, which he says is among the most successful companies.

While he has ordered Property Director in the Pristina municipality Dren Kukaj that he does not have to deal with the residential company, as he has made promises he has not kept, saying that residences occupied by LDK officials will be granted to the disabled, but after leaving the VV has not been taken care of.

Azemi said LVV will support Kryeziu and management, and that these issues will follow legally and will not allow the recapture of the residential company.

Asked whether Pristina municipality chairman Shpend Ahmeti stands behind all this after his departure from the Vetevendosje Movement, Azemi said they want Ahmeti to declare himself, as he is silent all this time. While regarding whether they will support projects for the capital, he said they would support any project in the interest of the citizen.

Whatever positive project for the city we're going to support, but the attempts to capture companies, we've rejected it when PDK and LDK did it, of course we're going to object regardless of who did it”, Azemi said.
