European Council President Donald Tusk has welcomed Macedonia's efforts for good relations with neighbours on its way to the European Union, saying such steps in the Western Balkans are very important “for Europe.
Speaking at a regional summit in Skopje on April 27th, Tusk has cited conflict between Serbia and Kosovo citizenship.
He has compared this dispute to the name issue between Macedonia and Greece, for which he has indicated there is progress.
He has said Macedonian leaders have shown true political preparation “to resolve this conflict, while other regional leaders still have to make additional “ ” to overcome disagreements.
