United States President Donald Trump said he is holding meetings with his advisers regarding Washington's response to the alleged chemical attack in Syria.
He promised that the decision for possible military action would be made “very soon”.
On Wednesday, Trump raised the possibility of a quick military response to the April 7th attack on the Syrian city of Duma, warning Syria that the “missiles would come and criticise Russia for its support of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
On Thursday, he said he never said when the attack in Syria would occur.
“could happen very soon or might not happen too soon”, Trump wrote on Twitter.
Several hours later, he said a series of meetings are under way and that the decision “will be made very quickly”.
Russia, Syria's close ally, sought not to take steps that, according to her, could lead to further escalation of tensions.
