For the first time, Spaniards have passed Italy to per capita GDP based on purchasing power parity [ PPP], according to what the statistics of the International Monetary Fund have shown, writes El Pais, broadcast Periscopi.
According to the same organisation, in 2017, the Spanish per capita GDP was $38,286, while the Italians were $138,14.
These statistics seem to have taken no note of how both economies are treed in recent years. Spain has returned in the years before the economic crisis hit a 3% growth rate. In 2018, it is for Spain to surpass New Zealand in 34, on a list led by Qatar, Macao, and Luxembourg.
Italy remains to recover after the Great Recesion. Even eight years after the euro crisis struck, Brussels continues to insist that Rome implement the required reforms. /Periscopi
