During this week the Matura State Commission has announced that this year's organisation of the test will be divided into four regions in order to become the best management of the test. Prizren and Gjakova, Mitrovica and Peja region, Ferizaj and Gjilan region and the Pristina region.

However, whether this approach to the test implementation will have an effect on the best quality of results is to show analyst Dukagjin Popovci.

According to him, this form of hosting the senior exam creates preconditions for better student supervision.

“Administration has been the weakest point of national tests of past years and has enabled widespread fraud and copying in tests. With this form of organising the senior exam, preconditions are created for better student supervision, because there is a possibility to select a smaller number of conscientious managers who can work in some testing centres, Popovci said.

He has said the Ministry of Education should improve supervision of administrators and legal measures can be taken if they fail to perform the job properly.

The “must also be greatly improved by the supervision of its administrators from August and make it clear that legal measures will be taken against all those who are not at the level of office, which has not occurred so far”, he has indicated.

On the other hand, Commission for Education Chairman Smajl Kurteshi has said they have not yet received official information from the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology regarding this announcement.

As for the effect of this form of test organization in four regions, Kurteshi has been skeptical that this way can guarantee success by adding that those who have to prepare are students in order to say what they know and not deal with cheating.

But I don't think this division guarantees success, success comes only as a result of a serious organization that means there's going to have to prepare students to say what they know, not that they spend all their time practicing and acquiring cheating skills, that's the main problem with us is cheating,”, the Kurteshi is expressed.

According to him, it all depends on the organisation of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, adding that the separation of the senior test this year in four regions does not guarantee success.
