As for the integration of Western Balkan countries into the European Union, Thaci has said that this should happen and that political problems for facilitating this test must be overcome.
Thaci has also thanked the Tusk President for representing Kosovo's equal at the Sofia Summit.
President Thaci has said that between Kosovo and Serbia after the talks there will have to be a legally binding final agreement that will enable mutual recognition between the two countries, and faster integration for Kosovo as well as Serbia.
As far as visa liberalisation is concerned, Thaci has stated he has announced President Tusk, with the work Kosovo has done in meeting all criteria set by the European Union.
We had a very friendly meeting and talked about Kosovo's EU integration and the Western Balkans region has never been closer to each other than today. But I think that both sides, the EU and the Balkan states, have realised that we can do faster together, what the EU has made clear at the Thessaloniki Summit, that is, the membership of all Western Balkan countries in the EU”, Thaci has declared.
Thaci has said the Sofia Summit will be a moment of reflection for all Western Balkan countries.
At the Sofia summit, all EU and Western Balkan member states will have the opportunity to reflect on challenges and processes. I expect this moment to be a reflection of the strategic importance of our integration Kosovo needs urgent to accelerate steps towards European integration. Kosovo has a massive civic support for EU integration Kosovo needs concreteisation of our European agenda. Let me stress that by thanking President Tusk, for Kosovo's fair treatment of fair treatment at the Sofia Summit, and I understand this moment as a great opportunity”, Thaci has said, writes Periscopi.
Thaci has also announced Tuscu's work in meeting EU-set conditions for visa liberalisation.
We agreed with President Tusk that a positive moment has been created, and that many things we can do together, but that we have to overcome political problems. We have talked about normalising reports with Serbia, and talks with Serbia negotiated by the European Union, but also about a binding final agreement, which will help Kosovo on the path towards the EU. We remain interested in talks with Serbia, on peace in the region. In the function of this goal, I am coordinating movements with all institutions and allies. We also filed for visa liberalisation, I announced to President Tusk that we have done a great job in meeting the” conditions has ended Thaci. /Periscopi/.
