President Hashim Thaci is surprised by his staff today. The first of the country, which is now 50 years old when it returned from its official trip to the Netherlands, has found itself in a frame cartoon.
The symbolic part of this caricature was also the number 50 because of the 50th anniversary and the number 1 as the first of the country.
President Thaci was born on April 24, 1968. He was also Kosovo's first prime minister, and before becoming president, Thaci was also the leader of the Democratic Party of Kosovo.
He was raised to a career as political leader of the Kosovo Liberation Army, where shortly after the war he had also served as Prime Minister of the Interim Government. The first biographies by two famous British journalists, Roger Boes and Suzy Jagger have already been written for Thaci.
Kidding, Thaci at yesterday's book promotion for him at The Hague said he has to admit that he feels a little old when people are already writing biographies for him and that he may have really made half a century of life, but that Kosovo is still very young.
