“If there are other steps leading to further escalation of relations between Skopje and Moscow, we will be forced to respond with countermass”, Russia's Ambassador to Macedonia, Oleg Scherbak, said.
Responding to journalists' questions after placing flowers before the memorial of Yuri Gagar in Skopje, Schebak said the Russian diplomat's expulsion from Macedonia was an accelerated step, not analyzing details. Several days ago, Macedonia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs decided to expel a Russian diplomat, arguing that he was involved in suspicious activities against the Government of Macedonia. As for this case, the Russian Embassy in Skopje reacted, saying the consequences of this action would be carried by the state of Macedonia itself. /Buriment: INA/
