Since the dawn of mankind, the mountains and savannas of Africa have been the land of hunters. With fire artillery exchanged between Boko Haram's warriors and the Nigerian army, it also scared the animals.

Now hunters have found traces of rebel fighters. Fixed by their superior tracking skills and their belief in the supernatural, they help the army to follow Boko Haram.

With little or no money earned by the state authorities, the gun hunts secure it from local sources to face an army armed to the teeth.

Boko Haram, which is translated more or less “Western Education must be banned”, has undergone a 10-year campaign to create the Islamic state in northern Nigeria.

The group has killed tens of thousands of people, causing 2, 3 million to abandon their homes, and ranks as the most armed group in the world, reports “Al Jazeera”, the Periscope broadcast.

The leader among the hunters is Aisha Bakar Gomb. It is called “Queen Hunter”, a title given to the bravery shown in battle. Aisha and her hunting gang protect their community.

Boko Haram's camps are found in forests where Aisha as a 10-year-old went out with her father to hunt.

Hunters have released more than 100 people captured by Boko Haram. Saving children is Aisha's motivation.

Aysha's remarkable life in recent years has led her to countries where only courageous men and women could go. Her story has become folklore in northern Nigeria, where the Hunter Queen contains in the history of her life as superhero. /Periscopi/
