Here's who's the best soldier in the world. KSF for 2018

In the “Adem Jashari” barracks of the KSF Land Forces Command in Pristina, the ceremony has been held for the proclamation of the results and winners of the International Race and the KSF Race “Best Commander of 2018.

In this international-type race, the best soldier has been declared Corporal Lorik Ramaj by the 3rd Battalion of the Fast Response Brigade at KSF, while first place for best international soldier has been declared Vladimir Hadijaj from Albania.

KSF Commander Nundman Rama, in this case has said this race is a challenge for all soldiers with the best intentions, because all these tests serve the unit they are engaged in. He added that the aim of KSF and Kosovo is NATO membership.

For us as the Security Force, there's an additional incentive in those goals and goals that we have before we reach. But the main purpose of this, not only of our organisation, but of our country is to be part of Euro-Atlantic structures, in this case NATO. Everything we have built from the beginning until now, we have built on NATO standards, because that is our goal and goal of being part of the Euro-Atlantic family. We will continue our duties, our jobs and we are testifying that we are a respected force, in the service of all citizens of the Republic of Kosovo”, Rama stressed.

Among other things, KSF commander said it is important for partner states to see a reality that in a professional and cultural respect, KSF is an army.

And we wouldn't be here today without the support of all our partners, and it's very important that it's not only in the professional sense that we've had partners here, it's very important that in a cultural way we've created interlocking bridges between our partners. So it's very important for our partners to see a reality that's here, even in cultural terms, as well as professionally or even military ways”, he said.

Sergeant Major at KSF Genc Metaj said the “top fighter's race, 2018”, began April 23rd and continued until April 27th.

According to him, soldiers and deputy officers from all KSF units and participating partner countries competed together and showed high commitment and professionalism during the execution of the assigned tasks.

A total of 22 KSF racers who competed for the best KSF soldier participated in the race, while 17 international contestants from Kosovo's partner states competed for the best international soldier.

For all contestants present, KSF has shared certificates.

The race took place in these activities: a physical test, a gun shot, a ground navigation, a polygon with obstacles, grenade launch, a danger zone crossing, first aid, field surveillance, rapid cargo march.

KSF has started this race since 2014. The Ministry leaders for the Ministry were present for the event KSF, senior KSF officers, KFOR officers, partner countries' military attaché, as well as other guests.
