Serbs in panic, Kosovo Republic ID mandatory for mobile owners

At the same time, in the last term almost a year since the entry into force of a telecommunications agreement between Belgrade and Pristina in November 2016, Telekom Srbija and Kosovo users were forced to link new contracts with the branch of Telekom “MTS doo” registered in Kosovo, though they had valid contracts with Telekom.
Milos Vukadinovic, explains that he wanted to continue using Telekom Srbia services since there was a contract, but his number of insolvents was deactivated in late August 2017, reports “Danas”, broadcast Periscopi.
According to him, moving to the new operator “MTS doo” has attracted several other obligations. “The request has caused other obligations, such as the signing of the document in which users do not possess Kosovo ID will submit a copy of the same service provider”, says one of the readers of the Serbian portal “Danas”.
As for the problem with ID, Telekom said that “when the contract expires, the user must have a valid identification document, regardless of where it was issued, or that a contract is valid with the ID card issued on the territory of the Republic of Serbia”.
Otherwise, the telecommunication agreement between Belgrade and Pristina was reached on November 13th 2016, which envisions the creation of MTS telecom companies. Ltd in line with Kosovo laws but transferred to Serbia's Telekom.
Prior to that, on May 1, 2017, mobile phone services in Kosovo were banned by operators VIP and Telenor registered in Serbia. /Periscopi/
