Russia went into counterattack against the West this Friday over the chemical attack in Syria. The head of Russian diplomacy, Sergei Lavrov, claimed that the attack by chemical weapons in Syria was undertaken by agents of foreign secret services,

Earlier, the United States and France had stated that they have evidence that this occurred, and along with Great Britain, they are considering responding with military intervention.

Russia, which has military forces deployed in Syria in support of the government, has warned that US air strikes threaten to launch a broader war.

Meanwhile, the UN Secretary General has already stressed that the Middle East is in <x0Mackaos” and that the Cold War “is being restored in revenge forms”.

Antonio Guterres spoke during a special meeting of the UN Security Council, called just from Russia.

Independent chemical weapons inspectors are expected to arrive in Syria on Saturday, just in the area where the chemical weapons attack was allegedly carried out.

During a press conference Friday, Lavrov said he had uncontested “evidence” that the attack was organised as part of a “Russian-run” whose name did not mention it.

The White House is still assessing secret service information and is talking to the Allies about the way it reacts.

A delegation of the Organisation for the Prevention of Chemical Weapons (OPCË) is expected to begin its investigation into the region of the Eastern Globe in Syria, though not much detail is provided for security reasons.
