Russian-sponsored hackers are actively attacking the internet, the US Cyber Agencies and Great Britain have announced.
British Center for National Cyber Security, The FBI and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security issued a joint statement regarding the global campaign.
At a media conference, the cyber security co-ordinator near the White House, Rob Joyce, said the US and its allies are convinced Russia stands behind the large campaign.
They suggest that the data on millions of equipment worldwide has been the target of attacks.
Cirian Martin, chief of NSC in Great Britain, said most of the techniques used by the Russians have detonated weaknesses in the system.
The primary limits in the global campaign were the suppliers of internet services, infrastructure-related companies, government departments and large companies.
The Great Britain “is working with the US to display Russia's unacceptable cyber behavior”, Martin said.
