Recica: Balkans seen as suitable arena for any kind of extremism

Recica was invited, among many world-level representatives, to discuss the subject, “Peace Roads in the Balkans”, the quality of the peace ambassador and the minister of MPMS.

During his speech, he said that we, in the Western Balkans, should understand that policies should be run by good neighbourly, economic development, the removal of barriers and the route without alternative, such as the integration of the region into the European Union.

According to him, the shield of NATO allies is what it needs and will need our region.

“in the region, and in this case in Kosovo, we live free by thanking the efforts of many generations for freedom and peace and the recent imposed war, the purpose of which even the international factor understood correctly, as a result of the intervention of the democratic world, the NATO forces that we will always thank for creating this peace, without which at least I would not be part of this” panel, Recica said.

The minister further said that the region, in its fragility, sees the arena suitable for any kind of extremism, especially religious one.

<x) Using religion for political and economic purposes is in itself not only a religious extremism but also a goal with the aim of geopolitical influence over the region”, he said.

Recica said unfortunately an agenda is still ruling to be hit by aggressive policies, even though Kosovo is very committed to preserving peace and protecting human rights, in particular communities, rights which are guaranteed even with the Ahtisaari Pack and the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo.

“in this case, I want to stress that Serbia not only is reluctant to recognise us, but it is doing much to hinder us on our way to development and integration. It must understand, that Kosovo is an independent state with a clear goal, economic development, the preservation of peace and the main goal of membership in the European Union. The good news is that our people are oriented to their 100 percent west. Even neighboring countries need to realize that the region needs two very basic things: Kosovo's minister said peace and development”

According to Recica, today, we are all convinced that peace among us is preserved through internal dialogue, accepting each other as we are and where we are, recognizing our diversity as value rather than as a dangerous obstacle, aspiring to joining the common family, not putting sticks under wheels.

“Only united in our common family in Brussels, whether for the European Union or for protection and security under NATO shield, our region will leave the past filled with blood and wars”.

To have our region more secure and fulfilled, Recica said it must have Greece, as a traditiond state of the European union, accept Kosovo's independence.

We call it even with this opportunity to set the example and make the initiative of this stalemate of five European states. Kosovo's independence is also Greek duty, because we are neighbours and we have a lot of ways to go together”, Recica said.
