OVL Miconers accuse troubled veterans of protesting for personal purposes

While veterans protesting yesterday demanded that the process of verifying war veterans and being summoned by the prosecution to testify, OVL Chairman Hysni Gucati hastily accused them of protesting for personal purposes, saying some of them were not recognised by the veteran's status, writes Periscopi.
The veterans who protested yesterday said they had three demands.
“We are all organisers without any difference, we are veterans, we have come for three requests: to clear lists from false veterans, to begin writing lists again, to bring to justice those who have manipulated and to call on the prosecution to testify to”, they said.
But Gucati said the OVL itself has sent the subject of veterans' lists to the prosecutor.
We sent the veterans' lists to the Prosecutor's Office eight months ago. Those who protested today are out because they have not been recognized as the status of the disabled. They have wanted to raise this issue and their personal cases become known to the media”, he said.
However, despite the fact that Gucati says the case has been sent to the Prosecutor, no single step has been taken by the justice institutions in the investigation of the lists, while accusing veterans who protested yesterday left the impression of an attack on veterans who do not listen to instructions of the organisation leading Gucati, which is often accused of manipulating veterans' lists for electoral purposes of the PDK and AAK.
On the other hand, the charge that yesterday's protest had the personal intentions of veterans, brings to mind the luxury of two persons leading the veterans' organisation, Hysni Gucati and Nasim Haradinaj.
The media have often reported their wealth.
Nasim Haradinaj's wealth captures million figures, based on reports of property declaration. According to the report, his wealth is over 4.5m euros. Statement of wealth, he was forced to do it in the quality of the director in the Decani municipality.
There is no report about Gucat, since he does not hold any public office that forces him to declare his wealth, but he also lives luxuriously compared to the veterans whom he accused of protesting for personal purposes.
However, when we are on the fantasy veterans' lists, disappointment had also voiced the chairman of the KLA's Council for the Protection of Veterans, Geevdet Qeriki, who in a televised proposal, said that according to the records there are about 15-17 thousand veterans and not over 60 thousand, as they have emerged from the process of verification of war veteran, which has been monitored by the OVL and state institutions.
The easiest way to use KLA soldiers' archives. It is the archives and the State Prosecution can be based on those archives to see the exact number of KLA soldiers. There are three archives, and in all three they can be found all names. It's not 60 grand veterans, but it's about 15 to17 thousand of these. Even the Chief Parliamentary [Cade Wessel] has admitted that the lists have swollen, but unfortunately, no law bodies are being taken with this work”, Curriqi had said.
The process of verifying veteran status had ended over time with Kosovo ruling coalition P DK-LDK. Great influence during this process had been exercised by then Deputy Prime Minister Hashim Thaci, now President Hashim Thaci. /Periscopi/
