Moscow Patriarch First Visits Albania

Moscow's patriarch Kiril will visit Albania for the first time at the end of April. Russian Patriarch Kiril's visit to Albania will take place in April 28th-30th, and will meet with Archbishop Anastas Yanulatos.

The news has been disclosed by Moscow Patriarchate's spokesman, who also added that Patriarch Kiril and Archbishop Yanulatos have friendly recognitions with each other for more than 50 years. The head of the Russian Orthodox Church has spoken of the visit himself. “I hope that at the end of the month my official visit to Albania” will take place, Kiril said during a reception at the Russian Foreign Ministry on the Orthodox Easter occasion.
