Dear citizens,
Today I have important news to share with you about recent developments in the health sector.
Since the end of the war in Kosovo, the health system, despite efforts that I do not deny occurred, has repeatedly faced numerous problems, such as: Drug supply, purchase of products from the Esential Bars List from the Ministry of Health, their reimbursement, excessive prices, budget damage, etc.
So today, I want to announce that after six months of intensive work, for the first time in 19 years, we have prepared the Administrative Guide draft, which eventually regulates the prices of products from the Essencial Bars List.
This is a new stage for the Ministry of Health, which completely changes the situation by gaining numerous benefits.
1. Determines the maximum purchase price (prior ceiling) for medical products by preventing the purchase of drugs at multiple higher prices.
2. They set the price for reimbursement from the Health Insurance Fund for each medical product.
For that reason, we've also organized a public discussion tomorrow that will discuss this Administrative Direction before we send it to Government for approval.
We are slowly meeting the entire legal infrastructure for regulating sustainable supply with Kosovo-Efficial prices, without damaging the state budget and avoiding any possible misuse
