Minister Hasani in Bursa seeks from Turkish investors biggest investment in Kosovo

Trade and Industry Minister Bajram Hasani has asked Turkish businesses to invest as much in Kosovo as possible. That call has been made at the Balkan Economic Summit, which is being held in Bursa, Turkey. During this summit, Minister Hasani has also met with Turkey's deputy prime minister, Hakan Cavuşoğlu, from whom he has received even an gratitude.

Minister Hasani at this summit has talked about the achievements of the Republic of Kosovo in creating an environment as appropriate to do business, legal reforms, trade balance, certificate of export products.

I want to say a few words about the achievements of Kosovo and the economic reforms we have made in recent years.

Of course, Kosovo has made major reforms in the business environment, and even in a World Bank report, we are ranked at top 10 countries with faster reforms made in the environment of doing business. Kosovo has created a good environment to invest, we have made many advances even in completing legal reforms. The laws we are drafting every day are making Kosovo have a treatment for producers to create conditions for investors from outside”, the minister Hasani has said. He has shown that Kosovo is also implementing the Stabilisation and Association Agreement.

The first of the MTI, has said that 70 per cent of progress, which has been assessed by the EU, is estimated to be the ministry's progress it is leading.

We still have a lot of work to do. We're not very happy because of the commercial disbalancing. Kosovo needs to export more, import is very high and we are doing a lot of work to do a balance between import and export, certified our subjects to be competitors on the European market”, Hasani's minister stressed.
He has in this case thanked Turkey for the numerous investments he has made in the Republic of Kosovo.

“We are very grateful for all the investments that have been made and we demand that investments be higher especially now that Kosovo has created a business environment. For producers who can invest in Kosovo we have removed all barriers.”, the minister Hasani has indicated.

He has stressed that Kosovo is also the leader of CEFTA. According to him, Kosovo is interested in creating as many bridges of co-operation as possible.

“We are interested in creating bridges of co-operation. We've been very constructive and make a free market, we've been trying to remove the tariff barriers. I take advantage of the once-in-a-time opportunity to ask Turkish businesses to invest in Kosovo and give them full support. ”, he said.
