3.5m euros is the amount Kosovo Posta is asking its shareholder, the Government of Kosovo, to cover its losses.
But the Ministry of Economic Development (MZHE) is refusing to do so, calling the demand irregular, writes Koha Ditore today.
Without these tools, Posta could not execute the month's wages for all of her workers.
“Despite the maximum efforts the Board of Directors and Company Management has made in increasing the number of new services in the Kosovo Post, reducing operational spending, as well as all other expenditures, the situation in the company still remains serious. Delays in carrying out pay obligations for employees have been a great deal of concern to us, while the reactions and demands of the wage execution unions are considered fair”, said the company's spokesman, Arsim Mehmeti.
However, the Ministry of Economic Development says the responsibility for the company's financial situation lies with its directors. In response to the Ministry's Media Office, management reportedly needs to make a spending reduction plan, review employment policies, and increase the volume and quality of services in order to overcome this situation.
