Kosovo is expected to add a Special Court, this time for the treatment of corruption classes.
At least, this is the pledge of Justice Minister Abelard Tahiri, that during this term he will establish this court, KTV reports.
This, according to him, will be done by reviewing the justice sector.
The European Commission's report on Kosovo has highlighted the high level of corruption.
Minister Tahiri says there are currently over 40 targeted corruption cases.
But, Ehat Miftaraj from the Kosovo Institute for Justice, does not expect much from the establishment of this court, though its creation has been recommended for a year now.
According to him, the government should have established this court in a long time ago.
In the cabinet alone, Haradinaj is three ministers charged with various acts.
Minister of Infrastructure, Pal Lekaj, accused of misusing official duty, Economic Development Minister Valdrin Luka, of conflict of interest, as well as Minister of Innovation Besim Beqaj, for connection “Proto”.
