The announcement of this agreement is made by North Korean leader Kim Jong and South Korean Moon Yae, after the pair held a meeting at the border.
The parties have also agreed to turn the ceasefire that ended the war in the middle of Korea in 1953 into a peace treaty this year.

These developments come several months after severe rhetoric from North Korea.
Details on how the plan for de-leariism will be realised have not become clear, while many analysts are sceptical of enthusiasm for co-operation shown by North Korea.
Preliminary agreements that had included similar promises regarding arms issues have been abandoned after North Korea began nuclear testing, while the south one elected more conservative president.
