The Iraqi Army carried out air strikes on Islamic State positions in Syria, in which 36 extremists were killed, including some of the leaders in Syria.
This was made known today by an Iraqi army spokesman.
He said Iraqi warplanes attacked the Islamic State explosives factory and other positions in Syria following attacks on April 19th.
Reuters writes it was one of the rare air strikes Iraq has carried out beyond its borders.
