LDK Parliamentary Group chief Avdullah Hoti through the regular weekly conference has addressed three issues: the findings of the Progress Report, the Government's platform regarding dialogue with Serbia, and has reiterated the call for the need to keep a table among political parties.
Speaking to the political parties' table, Hoti has indicated that most political parties have agreed to be part of this table, which will be held Wednesday.
In this situation we appreciate that it is urgent to reach a national consensus for actions that need to be taken to get out of this situation, we have to put aside political, daily rivalry, and we as LDK are willing to do so, we are willing to prioritize building this consensus. Let me inform you that today we send invitations to all political parties in Kosovo for the table, which will be held Wednesday in the Kosovo Assembly, to one of the Kosovo Assembly halls, will be a conversation so with political parties, most of these parties have already confirmed the participation on this table”, Hoti said.
He also disclosed two of the fundamental issues on which this table will focus and they are: how to address major issues for the country, such as dialogue with Serbia, EU integration reforms.
I'll handle three issues today at this conference. The first relates to the EU's report on Kosovo, the key remarks the European Union has given in this report, are that the ruling coalition has not addressed issues related to Kosovo's progress towards the EU. The ruling coalition has not reached political consensus on issues of national importance. There have been efforts like her to abolish the Special Chambers Law that have raised serious concerns in Brussels over the Kosovo state's readiness to meet international obligations, a remarks that we have consistently established”, he has said.
He has criticised the language government has used against the EU on the occasion of publishing this report.
Hoti has also expressed disappointment over the role this platform gives the president in the dialogue process, stressing that, according to them, this role is attributed to him in the absence of the ruling coalition's power to lead the country's major processes.
The second question that I want to freeze relates to the new platform for dialogue with Serbia, which was approved yesterday in the Government of Kosovo and will soon be handed over to the Assembly, we have already analysed this short platform, and we appreciate that it is a very poor platform, without any content, no definition of anything, such as the terms for discussion, the principles that should be respected during dialogue, indicator time terms for dialogue and other issues. The dialogue on the platform is seen as being given to the president, who must ensure political unity, never so far this president has grown to ensure this unity, and in fact this approach of the Government reflects the incapacity of the ruling coalition, which is currently the minority coalition, to lead with the country's major processes”, Hoti said. /Kosovo priss
