Historians in Great Britain believe that their queen is a descendant of the prophet Muhammad.
Their claims make the queen a distant descendant of the founder of Islam according to them as queen to be the 43rd generation after the prophet.
These findings were originally published in 1986 by Burke Peerage.
However, the claims have been resurfaced now, after a Moroccan newspaper has announced that it has followed the prophet's bloodline.
According to their findings, Elizabeth II's bloodline comes from the Earl of Kembridge in the 14th century, who descended from Muslims in Spain from Fatima the daughter of the Prophet.
Historians say that family records also support this claim and have also been confirmed by Ali Goma, Egypt's former great mufti.
The queen's first descended from Princess Zaida, who had left her house in Seville in the 11th century and was converted to Catholicism.
Zaida was King King's fourth wife Al-Mutamid ibn Abbad of Seville.
She had given birth to a son named Sancho, who later married the Earl of Kembridge in the 11th century.
