Work is officially under way on the 22-kilometer highway construction that will link Anamorawa with the capital.
The start of the works was done in Zhegovac, Gjilan, the very day it was marked the 19th anniversary of the Battle of Zegoci, reports Online Economics.
Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj said this is a moment that citizens have long received.
There's something that makes us feel better today than other years when we've remembered falling for freedom. Today we are able with this emotion to have a sense of accomplishment. Our country is getting closer and closer to Pristina”.
The head of government stressed that this four-lane highway will connect people, economy, and emotions.
I am pleased that 87m euros in the first part are pledged. In these parameters, we will not fail the government or the officer. We have the rest of this highway, but I promise you we will continue”, Haradinaj said.
This, the Haradinaj Government, is of all governments, taxpayers. We're taking over every part of the country. Pristina will be linked to Peja, Gjakova, Skopje, Tirana.
The entire Kosovo infrastructure will be conducted in 2023. There will be no urban settlement without being tied to auto road”, the government's chief stressed.
