In a pronouncement for Telegragraphy, Gucati said it was good for all who violated the law to respond to justice.
“I have expected these charges would be set up by the Kosovo Prosecution, not EULEX, but it doesn't matter even though EULEX has established them. These people, if they've made mistakes and violated the law, must answer to justice”, Gucati said.
He has appealed to the Kosovo Prosecution that as soon as possible, he seizes the abusers of veterans' lists, no matter who they are.
I've said many times that it's good for the local prosecution to take all the measures, and investigate all the cases of what the problem is and who. It's a delayed process, but I appeal to the Kosovo Prosecution to take all measures to capture abusers whoever they are”, Gucati said.
Of the six EULEX indictees, three defendants have been charged with criminal acts of forging the status of the KLA war veteran. Two were forgers of this status by fraud, while one was the beneficiary of the war veteran's counterfeit status.
