After meeting with the federal head of state of Baden-Wurttemberg, Winfreed Kretschmann, said the solution for Kosovo “would not be painless for Serbs”.
With any suggestion we can come out, he will be greeted, both in Europe and the world, as well as in Serbia,” said Vuciq, reports “Beta”, Periscopi broadcast.
Serbia's president has repeatedly announced that he will present the solution to Kosovo in public at the end of April.
Vuciq noted that any solution he offered, the first “should invite a referendum to the country”.
“It is not my intention to say anything to please someone in the West, but to achieve the solution, to please the citizens of Serbia and to reach a solution”, the Serbian president stressed.
He reiterated that he opposes the idea of a frozen “conflict”, because he does not want to leave problems for future generations.
“Since we will expect better times, we will wait for some worse time and worse”, the president added, adding that the solution should be required for dialogue to reach a compromise solution.
Vuciq also noted that the views of Germany and Serbia on the issue of Kosovo's independence are at odds, but this should not affect the development of bilateral co-operation./Periscopi/
