The United Nations team in Kosovo (UNKT) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) have announced that UN Development Co-ordinator Ulrika Richardson, who took office on April 26th, arrived.
Before coming to Kosovo, Richardson was the UN Permanent Coordinator and UNDP Permanent Representative, UNICEF and U NFPA in Cape Verde since March 2013. Previously, she served as UNDP representative in Gabon and Turkey's Permanent Deputy Representative (2007- 2012) and Cuba (2004-2007).
Her interest in international issues began with the Swedish immigration council in 1993 and her professional developmental life includes working with UN volunteers, where she developed a global programme for gender issues, with the African Development Bank in Côte d'Ivoire and Swedish representation in Gvinea Bisao.
It has conducted postgraduate studies in Development Economy at the University of Göteborg and Social Psychology at the University of Lund in Sweden.
