Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic has stated that he expects Serbia to condemn yesterday's incident involving radical Serb leader Vojislav Seselj, desecrated the Croatian flag, writes Periscope.
He has said that continuing relations between Croatia and Serbia depends on the penalisation he will commit to Sesel after the scandal.
“I strongly condemn Seselj's move,” has declared Plenkovic at the start of the government session, Danas writes, the Periscope broadcast.
“He desecrated the Croatian flag and insulted the Croatian parliamentary delegation” he added.
Plenkovic reiterated the fact that his government supports the decision of Croatian Prime Minister George Jandrokovic to cancel his visit to Serbia.
I expect Serbia strongly and unequivocally condemns this act of their MP in the Assembly, which once again repeat its harsh and ruthless rhetoric to Croatia”, Plenkovic said.
He stressed that he expects the continuation of dialogue and relations with the Republic of Serbia, within their condemnation of such conduct.
The Croatian government, he said, will continue to build relations with neighbours, and will respond to such actions “of determination and appropriately in protecting the dignity of the Croatian state and the dignity of Croatia as a whole.” /Periscopi/
