A former taxi driver who sexually attacked female passengers during his two years in office was sentenced to prison for another 22 months.
Jakupaj é, who is already serving a four-year prison sentence for forced entry into the home of a female passenger in May 2016, é was awarded another prison measure Wednesday at the Supreme Court of Newfoundland in Canada, reports The Telegram”.
The 34-year-old was sentenced in January on two counts of sexual assault as a result of incidents that took place even in the spring of 2016, when he was on duty as a driver in City Wide Taxi.
Jakupaj attacked the first woman after taking her to the centre of town to send her to her home in Pardise. On the way he stood by some trees and forcibly kissed him by putting his tongue in his mouth. The 24 - year - old woman managed to push her out of the car, and then Jakupaj left.
He attacked another female, 19, taking her by taxi home to Mount Pearl on an evening with her friends, where she joined the party. While she was leaving a basement bathroom, Jakupaj supported her on the wall, kissing her strongly and pulled her pants partially down.
Jakupaj, who is a Canadian citizen but grew up in war-torn Kosovo, served as a soldier for three years and came to Canada in 2007. He had no criminal record until last spring.
