Charge for bribery to 14 policemen in Mitrovica confirmed

The Constitutional Court of Mitrovica has, with a decision, confirmed the act of Constitutional Prosecution in Mitrovica, against 14 police officials in the Regional Traffic Unit in southern Mitrovica, who are charged with criminal work “taking bribes”.
In the act provided by “Justice Betrim”, it is said that the Constitutional Court of Mitrovica has refused as groundless the objections of 14 police officials Ahmet Hasani, Arton Bimbashi, Avdi Beqiri, Avni Mehmeti, Bojan Savic, Esat Haxhiu, Halit Shabani, Jovica Trajkovic, Nazim Hamiti, Rusti, Sabit Hajdari, Set Hadzimajhmeti, Slav Sçki and Zeka for dropping the act of rejection and evidence.
Meanwhile, according to this ruling, this court has approved it as being based on the rejection filed by defendant's defender, Dastan Rrecaj, lawyer Agim Rrecaj, on which the indictment was dropped against him and stopped criminal proceedings charged with taking bribes.
Regarding the dropping of the indictment, the accused, Dastan Rrecaj, in this ruling, is said that after the court has examined all the paperwork and the evidence that contains this indictment, it has estimated that the opposition filed with the request for the dropping of the indictment is fully based, of which reasons, according to the ruling, the court has approved in all this opposition and has decided to drop the indictment and cease the criminal procedure for accusing Racaj, in the absence of evidence.
It is noteworthy that the Constitutional Prosecutor's Act in Mitrovica of 17 May 2017 is filed against 35 police officials -- Ahmet Hasani, Arton Bimbashi, Avdi Beqiri, Avni Mehmeti, Bojan Savaj, Destan Rzacaj, Esat Haxhiu, Halit Shabani, Jovica Trajkovqkov, Nazim Hamqi, Rusti, Sabat Hajdari, Sedat Haxhimajmaj, Slavisa Szakaj, Zeka, Stejka, Stejkov, Stejkoqkov, Siqkov, Siqkov, Siqljevovici Ivan Sisavovica Siqovica, Vezakovic, Vezakovic, Slavajovic, Veravovic, Veravovic, Veravovic, Velakov, Vesavavovic, Velakov, Vesavavovic, Ves, Vesavavovic, Velakov, Velus, Ves, Ves, Ves Sisavovic, Vesavavovic, Vesavovic, Ves Sisavovic, Ves.
However, then the court, with the ruling of July 3, 2017, has phased out the procedure for 20 accused of the Revolutional Traffic Unit in the north, from the rest of the 15 indictees who have been engaged in the Regional Traffic Unit in South Mitrovica.
15 police officials in the Regional Traffic Unit in South Mitrovica, at the initial review session held on October 2nd 2017, have been declared innocent over the charge charged.
On October 3, 2017, as well as 20 police officials in the Regional Traffic Unit in North Mitrovica have pleaded innocent to the charge they are being charged with.
Differently, the Constitutional Prosecutor in Mitrovica accuses officers Ahmet Hasani, Arton Bimbashi, Avdi Beqiri, Avni Mehmeti, Bojan Savic, Destan Rrecaj, Esat Haxhiu, Halit Shaban, Jovica Trajkovic, Nazim Hamiti, Rushit, Sabit Hajdari, Sedat Hadzimetihmeti, Slavisa Spasaq, Zekali Shala, Vojkan Steq, Vasko Radulovovic, Chiefs Maxukov, Sisav Sisav Milisa Milicov, Ivansavovov, Zljevicovovov Shiravajac, Stovic Vajskajskajska, Veljeva Vljevaj Vljevaj Vljevics, Veljevics, Veljevicskajskajkovska, Vesav Vivanjskajskajskajska, Vejskavskajska, Velajska, Ves, Ves Vivanjskajskajskavskavskavskavska, Vkojkojska, Vkojska, Vkojkojska, Ves
According to the indictment, the amounts of money have been divided into equal parts, and some have held them for themselves so as not to pronounce fine tickets because of violations of the Law's provisions for Road Communications.
With this, they are accused of committing criminal work “taking bribes”, which is sentenced to fines and imprisonments of six (6) months to five (5) years under the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.
